Damn.. I usually stress test a processor for bout a day at each clock speed I try it at, and you'll know completely what it'll do reliably in an hour?!

I guess we have very different methods of testing stuff. :)
I usually run Prime95 for about 24hrs, and then loop 3DMark 2000, and Prime95 together for a few hours at each speed before deeming it stable.

i agree with you.all i am saying is i want to see how high it will run.then i will stress it.

i usally know iif my cpu is stable in about 2mins. If it will load windose it is usally very stable and can run all the tests :)

I find that just booting Win2k doesnt mean much, for me if a processor is not 100% stable then it will get a rounding error within the first 20minutes or so of Prime95 testing... if it makes it that far then it virtually always makes it the full way.

some people are saying you need a 400 watt or better p.s. to run at or above 1600.i don't
know if this is true or not.i am wondering if my 300watt p.s. is the culprit of not getting to 1600?

here are my voltages recorded from the bios.
