a friend is doing a project where the palm is connected to some sort of device that is like a multimeter, and can read things like voltages, pH etc etc. he needs to write the interfacing programme in C that will enable the palm to display the data. the hardware plugin is already developed and can be taken for granted to be installed in the palm which he will be using.
actually i dunno what to ask here... maybe some ideas as to how to go about doing it? ideas of the things that need to be taken into consideration and ideas for the "big picture" thing?
