i am gonna try this tomorrow in my friends Epox 8RDA+.

he got his 2100+ 0249 couple of days ago and he has it running @ 182 FSB @ 1.75v.
Gonna compare this chip with his and will let you guys know how good the 0306 week is.

ok guys....i tested my chip on my friends 8RDA+.

it did a max of 2.3 Ghz (without any burn in) @ 1.85v. do you think that this chip can hit 2.4 Ghz if i burn it in ? I have a Abit NF7-S board on the way and want to hit 2.40 Ghz....
The good part was that this chip did hit 2700+ speeds @ default voltage.....

messed w/ the chip for only about 1 hour though...so i was doing some quick P95 testing (~5-7 min on each run..was basically testing out till Test 5 since i was using Friends stuff). Once i get my mobo, i will test the chip overnight to see how stable it is at what voltages but with the initial express, do you guys think that burn in will help me ?

what do you guys think ?

the "burn in " thing is all a bunk... i think there's a thread that talks about burning in in this forum.. search for it....

i think you've hit the max for the chip... i'd say be happy with 2.3 :)

I also have a XP 2100+ (0306) which runs at 2700+ speed (13x166) right off the bat at default voltage (1.60v).

I have set my FSB up to 174Mhz and got it running at 2800+ without a sweat, bumped up the vcore to 1.70 though just to be safe. Now I wish my Samsung 2700 DDR (512MB) would run faster, this chip just eats it up ;)
