I am interested in any SSD which uses the sandforce controller, but tracking and finding hard drives ONLY by what controller they have is quite difficult, when looking for price as a secondary sorting factor.

Anyone happen to know the cheapest SSD which uses sandforce?

Right now I have an OCZ agility 3 60GB, which isn't too expensive but I would like another one with this controller for my laptop... and yes, even a 16gb one would be enough, capacity isn't so much an issue on my laptop because of what I use it for. The laptop is just a pentium dual core T2390, but it's plenty for me. Even the 80GB WD scorpio in it is overkill for capacity, but I bump and jostle and drop the laptop onto my bed and such a lot (clumsy due to neurological condition), so I am quite leery about the reliability of any standard hard drive in it and want to get an SSD. Why sandforce? I am very leery about SSDs and the one I have in my desktop has been completely flawless, I want to repeat that record.

Thank you for your time! :)

I'm not very mobile these days, it would have to be an internet deal :(

Btw, I personally wouldn't use a SandForce controller drive in a laptop. They don't like to be hibernated or sleeped. They tend to bug out. (even with firmware fixes)

Intel 520 SSD is worth the price. It should be at 120$ for 120GB. May be the prices have still dropped. SF will have latest updates for this SSD & to me is true value for bucks.

I am using Intel 320 SSD in my laptop and have not faced any kind of performance issues. oh touch wood :D. In fact, we had made a bulk purchase of this SSD and have installed this in our HP Pro laptops. None of them have been reported of any issues except for few minor issues. I can very confidently say, many people have this perception about SF SSDs and over a time this will certainly change.

320 certainly won't change it because it uses an Intel controller.

Kingston V300 seems to be the cheapest, even without a deal.
