New system put together.

for some reason after i install McAfee 5.1 then reboot, the computer locks up. I reboot and get into Windows in safe mode and uninstall McAfee, reboot and all is fine.

worked fine on my old sys.

this has started since i built my new sys.

Maybe you can disable the scan at bootup...Do you have a FDD? I have seen if you have FDD disabled for whatever reason it try to scan it but can't find it and locks up...

just a guess but I had problem like this at work...
