Used in adults who had bad acne in younger years. It is better than a severely pock-marked face, but is still easy to distinguish from a naturally smooth complexion.

Just get some superfine polishing drums for your dremel and some high-quality skin lotion and DIY.

I kid, I kid.

what's the price/performance ratio for microdermabrasion? kind of a silly question. most people that actually have it done don't have to worry about the money.

i had several treatments of it and i saw a definate improvement of old scarring and it did help with new acne (along with a topical cream treatment). What i found to work the best was a laser treatment i got in addition to the microderm.
I fortunatly did not have to pay for it as i was part of a study.
normally, it was about 200$ per treatment.

How much area is covered in a "treatment" edprush? I'm curious.

I was told by the dermatologist that the entire face is covered during each treatment.

2 years ago I had skin laser-resurfacing done on my face for acne scars. The Doctor can control the depths that the laser penetrates and not only does it improve acne scars by at least 50%, it smooths repairs a lot of other stuff too, such as sun-damage, blackheads, uneven skin tone, etc. These sorts of treatments (chemical peels included) work better when repeated as well, so consider that too, although I'm very pleased with the one treatment of laser resurfacing.

Yes, it is great for reducing hyperpigmentation marks, or reducing fine lines and wrinkles. It is usually packaged in 10 sessions. It is good for your skin too. It is basically a machine that is lifting off the old skin cells from the surface of the face, neck and declote' area. With it comes a facial. It's great, and you will enjoy the results. Just don't expect major results, they are minor, but noticable.

Edit: It was a long time ago but if I remember I paid roughly 400 smackeroos... at the time (I think). It was a long time ago. My friend became an estetician and worked for a plastic surgeon... she had learned the procedure.
