I ordered a case today at around 10:45AM EST, which would be 7:45AM their time.

I checked it a few minutes ago (which makes it right around 14 hours since i've ordered) and it's In Queue for Shipment...

I hate places that don't ship when you order before noon! man that pisses me off, i was hoping to get it by Friday, which was doubtful anyway, but now i KNOW i won't be getting it until probably Tues. of next week

i wonder if i paid for next day if it would still be sitting there in queue...

I am NOT a fan of computergeeks. I ordered a cd-rom drive that was In stock. I waited a week without it shipping. I called and they said it would ship that day. I waited another week and it didn't ship. Called again and cancelled. Waited another week without a refund. Had to get my CC company to dispute the charges.
 
Joemonkey, everything I've ordered from http://www.computergeeks.com/ , I've chosen their standard shipping and have been pleased w/ their quick service, especially because of the nice discounts they offer, just my opinion, I hope it helps 🙂
 
hrm, i've only heard good things about them, at least in hot deals

i've noticed if someone posts a deal having to do with some shady dealers or dealers people ALWAYS have trouble with (tiger direct comes to mind) there's always 1 or 2 people who chime in and warn you, but i've never seen that happen in a compgeeks thread (here or at FW)

hrm, guess i'll just have to suck it up, and hope i don't have something like what happened to Codewiz

Compgeeks is not exactly fast. never have been. They used to take about 3-4 days to ship, but have improved a lot. Newegg has us all spoiled.

Compgeeks orders go smoothly, but when there is a problem, it sucks. I got 3 bad mainboards, one after the other with them. It was a slot a mainboard that never posted. I just kept sending them back, and they kept sending new ones. Keep in mind I had to pay shipping, and wait a week for my package to get there, 3 days for them to test it, and another 4 for them to ship it back. the 3rd time I told them to keep it, and to give me a refund. They did, but it took 3 weeks to actually go through, and they took out 25% for restocking.

I ordered the same exact board frolm another vender, got it a week later, and it worked fine. I ended up selling it in FS/FT a while ago. I have not heard of any problems with it yet.

So, I dislike compgeeks 🙂
 
i order stuff from them every 1-3 months
i am not really impatient, so i don't follow the status that closely
i buy from them for decent stuff at low low prices
UPS Ground is slow from CA to MO anyway, so i don't pay attention to what day it ships
 
Yeah i got fedex ground, from CA to KY should take about 4-8 business days, so i shouldn't be too impatient... i just expected when an order was placed before the place even opened (that's a relative term i suppose, the hours listed on the site are 9-4 califormia time) that it should ship the same day.

I guess I just got used to buying stuff really late at night and it shipping out first thing the next morning

what i ordered was a case, so I'm not really looking forward to switching out all my crap anyway! the thing better come in on a day when i have not much else to do

i agree, and their customer service (at least for me) isn't too good either. but their prices are great.

so how much did u spend on shipping? if it were me doing this, (i live in hawaii) the cost of postage might almost equal the cost of the actual product after a while.
