Anyone had an issue like this before? (two beeps on boot)

Hello,

I have recently installed MSI p35 with a Intel q6600 cpu and 4gb ram. During startup I get two quick beeps which is supposed to stand for "parity error". However, during post I don't see any error messages (when I go through them with pause) and I run Vista x64 with no issues so far. I have 2x2gb sticks and I have tried each individually and I still get the same beeps. BIOS says I have 3328mb usable memory but that seems to me as a 32/64bit issue, in Vista it shows 4gb just fine. I tried memtest86 but it just went crazy right away, which I think is due to the bios not handling 4gb properly. I will try to memtest each 2gb stick individually when I have the time.

I have run 3dmark06 , cpustabtest etc without any problems.

Is there something to worry about? I've tinkered with the mobo (i.e. take it out and put it back a few times) rather much since the stock hsf installation didn't go very smooth the first time.

Thanks for any help.

I would worry about Memtest86+ giving you errors. What kind of errors show up, lots of random memory errors?
Have you checked to see if your vdimm is correct?
