Anyone got tips on wii boxing? I think i've hit a plateau...

I got up to level 800 but i'm having trouble defeating my opponents now. It seems to me that the punches seem a bit inconsistent. For example, for the life of me, i can only do hook punches with my right hand but not my left. And even with my right hand it's not all that consistent either. Sometimes my punches aren't thrown as well. WTF.

to do a hook, hold the controller perpendicular to the ground, at about waist level. move the controller straight up in a line, maitaining a 90 degree angle to the ground. use a sharp motion.

Google for something like 'Wii boxing tips'. I did and found a bunch of guides on which way to flick the controller, there's a bunch of moves you probably don't know about at all.

I'm up to 1400 or so and stopped because I ran out of time. I have no doubt I could get up to 2K if I wanted to 'invest' the effort in it.

got to 1300 when I had my friends wii for two weeks
now I have my own wii and am only up to something like 300

most important is to get successing punches and ofcorse the powerful throws... and defense, neverforget defense
