Hey, I'm trying to set up my Audigy so i can use my mic/headset combo in Counterstrike and Tribes2. However, in this new system i built i cant get the audio in to work. I hear and can play just fine but i cant set the games up to talk ... or for that matter record in windows. Does anyone else have this working? Is there a simple workaround or is it as bad mic slot in the soundcard? Opinions?

Athlon XP 1700+
Epox's kt266A board (KH7a or something like that)
SB Audigy
780mg pc2100 cas 2.5 ram
IBM Deskstar 7200rpm 40gig drive
All the latest drivers except teh Via 4in1s since they crash XP

I'm using an Audigy fine in WinXP Pro with my Creative Labs FPS 2000 speakers(4 sat. + sub). I have my WinTV usb hooked up through the line in port. I just plugged the cable in and it worked fine. I haven't tried the mic port, yet though.

I'm using:
1.4@1.6 ghz Athlon XP 1600+ (12x133)
Shuttle AK31 v3.1 KT266A mobo
512mb Crucial DDR

I'm looking for anyone who can tell me they are using their microphone under XP through an Audigy so i can send this card back if it works by default. If you had to tweak it i want to know how you did it. Anyone?

I'm using mic with Audigy and XP and everything works flawlessly for me.

Make sure you have set microphone as your recording source and it is not muted. You can find these options under Creative Surround Mixer >> Advanced.

do any of you guys experience sound skipping occassionaly in your winamp.. i have p3 asus cusl2c mobo and in running winxp with the dtt3500 speakers...

Thanks.. it turns out the mic come muted by default. I clicked it but the check didnt disappear. However, the mic works now. Thx.

I just installed my new audigy oem and the total downtime was like 2 minutes. Installation was a snap, i just popped in the cd and winxp hardware manager installed it for me.

As for any pops or skipping i havent seen any so far..
