Anyone got the Tokina 12-24mm f/4?

I had the 12-24mm Tokina, excellent lens, I just didn't use it enough to justify keeping it.

I have this lens. Awesome lens. Only complaints I have are noisy AF motor and the clutch mechanism that is used to switch btw AF and MF is lame, you can't override AF with quick MF on this lens. Small price to pay for this awesome lens though.

Ditto.

Generally I use my tamron 17-50 and find it wide enough for most things. The only time I used my 12-24 was to take a picture of all the kids at my daughters school. It was a brand new school and it was an inaugural class photo. Rather than stand 1/2 mile away the tokina worked like a champ to fit everyone in the picture. Never used it after that so I sold it.

So people like this lens and people like the Sigma 10-20mm too.

I thought I was gonna get the Sigma, but now I'm not so sure. The Sigma gets me an extra 2mm, which is probably pretty noticeable on this end. How's the Tokina's quality control?

I love this lens; it's almost always on my camera, especially when I travel somewhere. The image quality is excellent, the constant f/4 is nice and the build quality is top notch, very solid in your hands. Can't go wrong!
