anyone got the apex 1100 dvd player (small silver one)?

Walmart has it on sale for $49! Doesn't look as cheap as the old silver model either.

I was wondering which dvd-r media the apex reads good? or which dvd+r media.

i have one of them.
works ok, it is a tad on the noisy side though.
don't know about the dvd+r/-r media.

My old roomate had an APX DVD player that was silver, but I don't know if it was the same model you are referring to. It worked great and we watched a lot of movies on it.

I have one of them also - they're alright, but they have some bugs (For some reason my parents displays another language, but that's it)

those Apex DVD players suck. they are NOT worth the money.

i got it because it did SVCT, MP3 etc. but man i should have spent a little more money and got a good one.

I have a 1100w and it will not play DVD-r from what i have seen, check out other reviews at www.VCDHelp.com, it doesn't seem anybody is having luck.

I have an Apex AD-1600 that I bought from Fry's for $49.99. It's a bit noisy but can't complain about the price. The reason I got it was because I can display jpeg files from a CD-RW.
