Anyone got any info on the movie "Jarhead" being released next month?

I thought it was going to be rather sweet, then I realised what the title song was and how the few conservative things you might see in the trailer are the only non-liberal things in the whole movie.

Based off the book by Anthony Swofford. Depicts STA 2/7 during the Gulf War. Paints a different picture of the marine corps, not the best i might add. But it looks sweet as hell, so I'm definitely going.

Ohh, so it doesn't paint a pretty picture of our boys. So that's why everyone above is claiming that it's propaganda.

man, what a year for Gyllenhaal, he's got three great movies, all different but very respectable. I'll definitely catch Jarhead...but that's not much of a surprise

As someone else already noted, it's based on the book written by a marine who served in Kuwait in Desert Storm. Sure sounds like 'liberal propoganda' :roll:

Being in a war sucks. The movie is going to show what Desert Storm was like from one soldier's view. From what I've read, it pretty much consisted of him doing not much of anything on the Kuwait/Iraq border, seeing a little bit of combat, and being confused.

From what I've gleaned out of it so far, he is for the most part very anti Marine Corps.

But then he says in the book that all the best Marines HATED the Corps.

I like the part in the commercial at the very end when Jamie Fox has that steelie look in his eyes and he just says "OohRah." Just makes me smile everytime for some reason
