I thought of trying it, but considering they don't let you see their music lists, or even a sample of them, I blacklisted them.

7 day free trial:

* Yahoo! Music Unlimited is available either on a monthly basis for $6.99/month, or for an annual subscription of $59.88, billed annually
(that's just $4.99 a month). Yahoo! Music Unlimited is available to
U.S.-based subscribers only.

YOU MUST CANCEL WITHIN THE 7-DAY TRIAL PERIOD OR YOU WILL AUTOMATICALLY BE CHARGED THE SUBSCRIPTION FEE YOU SELECTED DURING REGISTRATION. The Yahoo! Music Engine application is free and will not be impacted if you cancel a Yahoo! Music Unlimited subscription. Free trials are available to new customers in the United States only. A valid credit card is required at signup for validation.

I've been using since its come out (may?). Its needs some serious work w/ their portable support. I think they need to change the who GUI, but music wise its ok. There have been an album or two that I wanted to listen to, but was unable.

That sounds accurate. I have been surprised by the availability of some prog artists, but it's not bad music wise. I got to hear the new Bonnie Raitt, Rolling Stones, and Paul McCartney albums for free to help me decide which ones to get. Plus, it's handy for hearing what's popular today without listening to top 40 radio or buying anything.

I use the player to d/l the songs on my pc, but then listen using WMP10. It's not that WMP10 is great, but it is better than the Yahoo Music Engine IMHO.

By portable support, are you referring to bought songs or subscribed songs? I don't have a player that supports the subscribed format, but have been looking for one.

I'm using it right, now. I'm dissapointed with the selection and availability of music, so I am going to cancel. I paid $7 for one month of service.
