Anyone got a AMD SLI MB with 4GB memory working

Sister in-law wants 4GB memory in a new computer because she uses Photoshop. Anyone here actually using 4GB DDR400 in a DFI LAN SLI DR, ASUS A8N SLI, etc? I read where someone had 4GB DDR400 installed on an ASUS but was recognized as DDR333 and I see a lot of people can't even boot with 4GB. Will be using AMD x2 3800 or 4400 processor.

If anyone has been successful please post motherboard, MB bios, MB bios settings, memory type, and any other tips in setup.

I don't think an entire 4GBs will even show up in Windows XP (32 bit). Take a look at this thread:

Note: due to standard PC architecture, a certain amount of memory is reserved for system usage, and therefor the actual memory size is less than the stated amount.
For example, 4GB of memory size will instead be shown as 3.xxGB memory during system startup.

That's what I'd read before...
