Once upon a time I washed a pair of my pants, with my cellphone in one of the pockets.

The cell phone is a Sprint PCS Samsung VGA-1000.

Amazingly, the phone after that still worked.

However, nowadays, while making calls, the other party has trouble hearing me.

I called myself on another phone and sure enough I can hear from the cell phone but it is very faint.

The phone has a voice memo function, which i tested for troubleshooting purposes, and to my surprise, I can hear just fine. Clear as day.

So, the microphone is apparently working, but for some reason during a call it doesn't work, any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance.

don't worry about it, just go into a sprint center and let them see if they can fix it. do not tell them about washing it in your pants, no matter what. they will most likely get you a new phone w/out any trouble

be aware that they will attempt a software update before replacing, it can erase all of your data during this process, happened to my roommate.

Hey, this may actually not be related to washing it....

My good friend told me online tonight that his VGA-1000 is VERY faint as well... People always complain they can't hear him........
