With DDR4 around the corner, is anyone going to take the bet that DDR3 prices are going to skyrocket like the trend with DDR2/DDR?
 
The only reason I'd invest in it is for my own use down the road with DDR3 system upgrades, which is mostly done for family, which never pays me for the hardware anyway.

I'm not going to buy up a bunch of DDR3 and then sling it on ebay to try to make a profit.
 
It would be unwise to stockpile current DD3 as the new 30 nm memory is just getting started and the older fab memory will either get cheaper or go away because it won't be able to compete spec wise.
