I never read the novel...but I do know its about a woman who lived in LA in the 40's who's body was cut in half and mutilated and found in a vacant lot naked.And who's murder is still a mystery.

josh harnett has been in impressive pictures lately (ie. lucky number slevin).... and scarlett johanson... damn so hot.

I LOVE James Ellroy.....can't wait to see this movie. LA Confidential was great and hope this is just as good.

I saw something on the history channel on the Black Dahlia, I have been fascinated since then. I will definatly see it. I like the style of it as well, nice film effects.

no its unsolved...the police rounded up many suspects but in the end one was found guilty.
