I missed out on last years Ozzfest and am excited to get to go this year. Sounds like several good bands will be playing.

Also got tickets to the Metallica summer sanitarium tour.

Should be a good summer for concerts!

Went the last 4 years but no Sabbath or Pantera this year so I'll split. I mainly went last year b/c of Audioslave supposedly being on the bill but at least Ozzy did an awesome set.

Korn
Marily Manson

those are the main ones that come to mind.

meh, Ozzy and Disturbed are the only ones I would be interested in. I have seen Korn in concert and wasn't too impressed, though that was some years ago, and if I recall, at an Ozzy (non-Ozzfest) concert.

Exactly. When I went in 99 it was a true metal fest. Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, Slayer just to name a few. Then the next year it was Pantera.

Most definitely Metallica Tour. :) I don't give a jack about the other bands that are opening for them. :disgust:

I went to the UK ozzfest last year. Got rained on, went home cold, wet and bored before ozzy came on. They havent announced a UK one yet this year, dont know if i'll go.

Going to the Download Festival to see Iron Maiden. This year I'd really like to go and see Metallica, but they are only doing a couple of crappy pop festivals in the UK. :disgust:

Yeah, i'd like to see them. I got Damnation and a Day when it came out, havent stopped listening to it. Better to Reign in hell is my favourite track, the orchestral peices are the best they've ever done, a top album!!

I should be going again this year...5th row for the 5th time. (I had to miss a couple years ago because I was on vacation..)
I am not overly impressed with this years lineup, but live n loud music is always good to see... and being at a concert is way better than work.
I was hoping to see Hatebreed once again..but I guess not.

it doesn't seem to be as much of a tru metal fest anymore. more and more nu-metal... for example 2 years ago.. Linkin Park and Crazy Town.
Marilyn Manson is a freaky idiot. I would not spend a dime on his music, but don't mind listening to it or seeing him in concert. but most of the kids around me that were singing along to his concert looked like they'll be part of the next teen tragedy...

That is exactly why I haven't gone since '98 but Cradle of Filth is real metal almost enough reason to sit through the crap.

I'll be going to the one in San Bernardino California. I'm just dreading the traffic. Should be entertaining.

Ozzy - Should be a good set. He always puts on a good show.
Korn - Not such a big fan. Saw them when they were on tour with Metallica, should be good.
Manson - I'm a big Manson fan. He always puts on a good show with good music.
Disturbed - I couldn't even tell you one song they sing.
Chevelle - Never even heard of these guys either.

By the way, I might have two tickets for sale if a couple of my friends flake out. If anyone is interested just PM me. Good seats!

Ozzy = Better when he has Sabbath
Korn = sh*t numetal
Manson = boring
Disturbed = crap
Chevelle = crap

:)

Out of all the bands listed only Ozzy is metal. Korn admits they are not metal(although everyone considers them numetal). Manson has NEVER been metal. Disturbed is prepackaged "metal". Chevelle is rock.

Now the Germany's ROCK HARD FESTIVAL is more metal than the so called metal Ozzfest.

BLIND GUARDIAN
SAXON
CANDLEMASS
KREATOR
TROUBLE
CIRCLE II CIRCLE
ANTHRAX
NEVERMORE
IN FLAMES
BOLT THROWER
THRESHOLD
TRIBE AFTER TRIBE
SOILWORK

I think Ozzy will outlive me, and I'm only 20. I'm still pissed about this year's lineup since the show in Socal I'd be going to is on my 21st.

Totally disagree Codewiz.

I like all those bands.

Chevelle is a pretty good band too. Don't know how they are live but I like both the albums of theirs I have.

I like some metal but certainly don't consider myself a headbanger or whatever.

I am going to the one in San Bernadino also fyi.

Chevelle is pretty good live. They sound good, but they don't really move around very much. Not very interesting visually. I thought they sounded pretty good, though.
