I've heard of this, and always thought it sounded awesome. Any idea on ticket prices?

I would fly to CA if Radiohead was playing again this year :( So I probably won't be going to Coachella, but I'll end up flying one or two places to see Radiohead this year.

weiv0004: Last year the ticket prices were $140 for a two day pass and $75 for one day.

This will be the second year in a row that I can't go. Last time I was there it was 112 degrees. Make sure to bring $$$$ so you can buy water.

I have been. It was two years ago.
DON'T GO!!!!!
It would have been great to go 4 or 5 years ago. it is too big now. too crowded, too hot, too many bands so you won't see all the ones you want. And the ones you do see play an abridged set.
Unless you live close by I definitely would not recommend going. Instead save your money and see each of those bands when they come by your area on tour. That way you won't be hot and fatigued and you will get to see them play a full set.

If you still plan on going...
Here's the breakdown of my experience.
2 tickets, car rental, plane tickets: ~$1000 if we had stayed in a hotel ~1200. Tried to save money by camping. each morning we awoke at 10am to the desert heat, covered in sweat. gates opened at noon. if you get there at noon you have about 30min-1hr wait to get through the lines. They didn't let you take SLR cameras or WATER!!! inside. (still snuck in my camelpak though;)) Don't be a chump, wait until at least 3 if not 4pm to go. though you may miss some good acts, the better stuff goes on later. make sure you hit the restrooms (30+min wait) and get plenty of water (another 30min wait) and be at the stage at least 1 if not 2 acts before the band you want to see. be prepared for oppressive sun and desert heat.
THIS CONCERT IS IN THE DESERT! you will get very VERY hot! you will be crammed in with thousands of hot sweaty people. drink ass loads of water. I saw 2 people pass out. helped carried one of them away.
If you are want to stay in a hotel, book at least 8 months if not a year in advance.
