I went to the event in Boston yesterday.
Did anyone else get one of those "lunch" boxes?
And I only got the 32 bit Win7 Ultimate. Anyone get the 64 bit too?

Don't all Win7 discs have both 32&64-bit versions on them?

Ah, that's only for the retail version. Would be good for someone with an XP netbook...

Yeah, I went to the Boston event yesterday. The "lunch" box was pretty pathetic, no sammich, more like a snack pack, I got lunch in the area afterwards. I'll have to check what I got in my Win7 Ultimate package.

My disc is labeled 32 bit but the sleeve has places for two discs, and the other was empty.

We got out of dodge as quick as possible and ate lunch out of Boston.
I saw one guy who had 4 of those boxes stacked up in front of him. And he was looking for more. It was like there was supposed to be something else in those boxes, but they forgot to put it in.

I guess that's the "new efficiency"

Same here, I only got the 32 bit disc, it sucks, I need the 64 bit version. Yeah, so much for "new efficiency".

I did some checking and apparently you can use the key on either 32 or 64 bit versions. You just need to get a 64 bit disc.

If you have a valid key, why not just torrent it?

Actually I have the 64 bit disc. I posted that for the other guy.
What I forgot to post is if you contact MS they will send you the disc.

If it's anything like their 32bit NFR Vista discs my brother and I got at one of their conferences last year, not any 64bit disc image will accept a NFR key. Last time my brother simply googled a portion of the volume label and found a version with an "x" in it. He's pretty sure it was "FRE" in the middle of the 32bit volume label and "FREx" in the middle of the x64/64bit version.

Anyway, I just got in on one of the Win7 conferences at the last second today and nabbed one only to find that it's 32bit (disappointing). I haven't looked yet online yet but I'll call Microsoft if I have to.
