Did anyone go to college and do a sport? Did you find it hard to ge tthrough your classes and do sports at the same time. I know most Division 1 colleges want about 5-6 hours of training a day which seems like a lot.
Do division 2 and 3 have different requirments?

A couple of guys from my HS football and lacrosse teams play in college. I thought about it (for D2 or D3), but it was just too much time and effort to put into it. Couple that with the schools I were primarily interested in being D1, resulted in me not doing so.

For fall sports, you usually go to school at least a month before classes start, and all you do is the sport for that month. Two and three a day practices are not uncommon, along with hours upon hours of film. Mandatory weightlifting and running also.

During the school year, it's less strenuous, but they're participating in the sport for at least 4 hours a day, b/w practice, lifting, and film.

yea i had a scholarship to UCONN(lost it cause of a pulled hamstring and groin) and I was told weight room at about 6 am, Regular running practice at about 3-5 or 6 and then at about 9 u had some nice swimming routines or cross training. Maybe thats why those muscles pulled....

I rowed in college. Club sport but it was still a pretty big commitment.

Up at 4:30am, at van at 4:45am, on water by 5:30, off water at 6:45, back on campus by 7:30am. Then do weight or rowing machine for 30min-1.5hr during the day, and in bed by 11pm latest. Sat practice from 7am until about 11am or noon.

For me it was good, got me up and thinking in time for class, even if I had it at 8am.
