Anyone Go From Eating Chocolate-Covered Espresso Beans To Plain Ones?

I like chocolate, I like espresso beans, I like chocolate-covered espresso beans. I don't much like the cheap chocolate that they all seem to use to coat them, though. It seems to be more paraffin than chocolate. I might just need to find a higher grade of chocolate-covered espresso bean, though.

Anyone ever laid off the CCEB's and just started eating plain espresso beans? It would definitely be cheaper, and I wouldn't miss the sugar.

I ate the chocolate ones a few times. Didn't like it, much prefer coffee. But, the beans give more caffeine for the $.

I didn't know people actually bought the chocolate-covered ones! I'd be interested in trying the plain ones personally, just never bothered to buy a container of them. I like caffeine, usually I have a cup of tea around 2:30 (my department provides free coffee + hot water for grad students who need a caffeine fix, I've got a Chinese friend that has hooked me up with some of the good tea, the kind you have to put in a tea ball). I think caffeine is probably one of the best substances one could get addicted to

Chocolate covered is the only way to eat them. The chocolate masks the nastiness that plain beans have. Not sure where you buy yours or what's available, but check out your local Mall Chocolate shop to see if they have any. If they do, you might be able to get them to make a special order with your choice of chocolate.

yeah, i'm sure you can find somewhere that can make you some with good chocolate
