Anyone get the Nokia 6? Thoughts?

I had originally crossed it of my list since it didn't have USB-C but it seems the 2018 version will. The specs seem good for the cost and I don't expect to do too much with it.

I'm really considering it, especially with the upgrades for 2018. I'm also curious to see what they do with the Nokia 8.

I was tempted by both the 8 and the 6, but now rumors of the pentalens Nokia 10 have surfaced, so I'll hold out for that until the details are released (one of the primary functions of a smartphone is the camera for me).

The 6 seems to be a great choice for getting the most out of your money though.

What exactly is a pentalens camera?

It's all speculation as it's not verified and a leaked document, but conjecture is a rotating camera lens setup for different focal lengths and optical zoom.

Nokia starting making phones again under the brand, HMD. Nokia hardware with Android OS. They once again brought Carl Zeiss lenses to the market on their phones, however, none of their new line-up's sensors or algorithms are particularly amazing compared to the rest of the market.

Looks like it's out overseas. Looking at the price it seems to top $300. Now it's a hard choice if it's worth it. Might just end up with last year's version or the Moto G5plus.

EDIT: seems the $300+ was wrong. This article says $260 in India.

So the phone is now available in the US. Amazon (3rd party) has it for $270 and Newegg (same 3rd party) for $250 looks like it'll work fine with Tracfone.
Anyone know if there would be any difference in SIM cards between ATT and GSM unlocked?

It'll take a typical nano SIM, according to gsmarena. It should also work with any GSM carrier worldwide.

So what happened was that the official release is in May but one seller (Breed) sold out their inventory ahead of time. In the next two weeks or so we should see it become readily available.

Best Buy also has them in stock. I ordered one from Amazon last week and it still hadn't shipped, so I cancelled the order and placed it through BestBuy yesterday. I got a shipping notice today and it should be here on Thursday.

That's what it said when I ordered mine as well. I received mine from Best Buy yesterday, so it was essentially 1 day shipping.
