Anyone get offended by uncensored music?

Just wondering, I realize that radio stations have to censor music for a reason, but is this more of a protection against-lawsuit lets not expose the young generations to violent cuss words or do people out there actaully get offended by this stuff? If a black drives by a white or asian or any non-black race playing uncensored music that mentions the n word or ghetto's or things like that, would that be enough to piss him off?

The reason for most rap music, at least old school, is to bring a message, so I would hate to think that a black would get offended by another person listening to the music that's trying to bring out a message. Today's new stuff, which just talks about womanizing and rape and hoes and things like that, I can understand offending a passing by soccer mom or something with 3 little kids.
 
So would your friends actually pursue someone playing music that they deem offensive? Or just a school-yard stare down and a roll of the eyes
 
I find it offensive when radios censor music, myself. That's not how the artists intended it.

Anyway, radio stations CAN play whatever they want. During the day they're not allowed to play sexually explicit material, or explicit material dealing with bodily functions, but they can use the n word all they want, and they can use any speach they want after 10:00PM.

Not to that extent... but they would argue about it endlessly... what's wrong with this and that and whatnot. Personally I can't stand rap lyrics nowadays that advertise how many cars, women, and money they have... i'm more bothered about that than the offensive language some of them might contain... perhaps its because i'm used to it already... and i see cussing as a way of expressing something.
 
I find it offensive to have to listen to some retard's music pounding and blaring from his car stereo and assaulting my ears even when I have my windows up. I don't care what kind of music it is. I can hear these moron's music thumping half a block away.
 
What killed me a few months back when I visited Atlanta was that the radio played (a lot) that "My Neck, My Back" song from Khia, and they censored out more than half the lyrics.
 
along the same lines, what killed me was hearing the censored version of "stan". they cut out an entire quarter of the song!!! :Q
 
I tend to use words like "darn" as epletives since they're more shocking 😉 but am not at all offended by uncensored music. I don't listen to rap but will sing along, in a voice to wither plants and small animals, to the uncensored versions of songs like Fiona Apple's "Get Gone":

I don't know about your area, but in the area where I live you can hear their f*cking retarded music from half a mile away. I guess young idiots around here have louder speakers. :frown:

Oh, and to get back to the original topic, I don't get offended by uncensored music. In fact, it's more the other way around - I hate songs that have been bleeped and cut away to practically nothing.

My parents are way too hung up on bad words, too - my mom gets mad over phrases like "this sucks" and "I screwed up." I never say anything remotely bad around them, but one time mom came up behind me as I was working on some big project (probably in 3dsmax or Dreamweaver, I can't remember and it doesn't really matter) and I didn't know she was there. I pulled up an IRC window to take a break, and said something about being "pissed off" because my code wasn't working right, and she almost killed me. :Q

My parents don't care if we (me and my brother) swear around them. Haven't since, well... high school.

Find good station
Listen to half of song
Commercials
Commercials
Stupid DJ talking like a retard
Commercials
One song is played and sounds like crap before more...
Commercials
Change channel, finding 90% of stations are in commercial mode
Get pissed off
Turn radio off
