Anyone get FSB higher than 149 on 8KHA+?

Has anyone been able to get their FSB higher than 149 without doing a voltage mod on their 8KHA+? I know I can get more out of my 1700+ and I'm pretty sure it's the Vcore that's holding me back. It just refuses to be stable over 149. I have Corsair XMS PC2400, so I know it's not that. Anyone........?

I have the 8kha+, 2 256MB sticks of Corsair PC2400 RAM running at 154Mhz FSB with my soundcard holding me back. If I take the SBLive out of the system I can get up to somewhere around 160Mhz stable with the Turbo RAM timings/the best RAM timings recommended on amdmb.com's forums.

Have you tried pulling all your peripherals and leaving your case open to see how high you can go?

Edit: Have you unlocked your CPU? Try lowering the multiplier to something really low and figuring out the max stable FSB without having to worry about your CPU holding you back.

Thanks for replying. I do have an SBLive in there. I wonder if that's the problem. I'll try taking it out and see what happens. Any idea what's the best overclocking friendly soundcard out there?

No idea. 🙁 One of my SBLive's got up to around 158Mhz FSB stable under Win2k while it could only do around 154 in WinXP with the earlier drivers (I might try for a few more Mhz when I install the newer drivers). With my old KK266 I tried using the onboard Cmedia sound and got a few extra Mhz out of that, but crappier sound. 🙂
