Yep it's not exactly known for it's warm weather! But it's not as bad as some people think, I've heard the 6+ months of winter more than once and that ain't true. Maybe just people joking around.
Anyways, we can definately have some hot days during the summer and into August. I like the weather. There's four distinct seasons and you can do summer activities and winter activities; during the fall the colored leaves are beautiful.

I would say winter is 6 months there. The first snow is usually in Oct and doesnt let up until late april, early may. :disgust:

Not the last few years, just this past winter I wasn't even sure if we'd have any snow for Christmas and it was definately gone by mid April. Although my mom has pictures when she was a kid, the snow banks were so high you couldn't see over them. Like 6-7 feet.
Now that I think about it, it depends on where you are in Upper Mich. In the Keweenaw peninsula they get a ton of snow, where I live in lower central Upper Peninsula on Lake Michigan we barely get any. The local ski hill could barely run this year cause there was no snow. :Q
