Crazy, when did you graduate? I'm going there now.
whatever that drive through vietnamese resturant on division is... it's tastey
Hmmm...I can't say I've ever had vietnamese food. The first thing that came to mind when I read that was lee ann chin though. I really have no idea what kind of food they serve. It's funny though, if you google "lee ann chin," the first thing that comes up is a page called "The Worst Restaurants in Minneapolis." Maybe that's not it. I go down division every day on my way to work, maybe I'll keep an eye out and report back.
edit: Looks like lee ann chin is chinese
Leann Chin is so Americanized that the only thing Chinese about it is the last part of the name. Best Chinese food I've had was in Vancouver, Canada. It's cheap and the cooks are actually Chinese. I can't say much for the Twin Cities Chinese food restaurants, except that Leann Chin SUCKS! Village Wok near the east side of the University (forget the street it's on, but it's near the Huron St Exit on 94) is way better than Leaan Chin.
If you want good Vietnamese food, go to Saigon on University and Dale in St. Paul. They have kickass Vietnamese sandwiches, pho, and Vietnamese cuisine. It's cheap and it's good. Pho 79 is also very good down in South Minneapolis.
That may be true, but when you're an American not of Asian descent and, thus, don't have an "Asian" palate, Americanized food tastes good no matter what it claims to be
