Anyone from Arizona?

I have a free trip on United and am thinking about going to Arizona the first week in April.

Tentative plan is to fly into Phoenix, spend a day at the Grand Canyon and a couple days in Sedona.

What should I do with the next 4 days?

Im in AZ

Thats a pretty general question. That time of year it can get very warm in the day (85 today) but cool at night.

Depends on what activities, interests you like - little more info?

Don't mind warm - it's about 15F where I am.

Basically, I'm looking to do scenic drives, hiking, hot springs, and museums. I'm from the northeast so I find the landscape fascinating. I've been to Utah/New Mexico so I'm somewhat familar with the area.

Phrased another way, if you had 7 days to spend in Arizona. How would you spend them?

well not to many museums. There is the Heard museum in downtown Phx which has indian artifacts.

As far as scenic drives, you can't beat Sedona/Flagstaff. If you're going to the GC then camp out if Flagstaff, its a good base to visit the Canyon - or Lake Powell if you want to go further north. Ask the locals about the "lava tubes" it is in the backwoods but pretty neat.

My current thinking is to fly into Las Vegas and fly out from Tucson and see the best stuff in between.

So 1 day in Las Vegas, 1 days in the Grand Canyon, 1 day in Sedona, 2 days in Phoenix and 2 days in Tucson.

Sound reasonable?

Just make sure you end up at the South Rim of the Canyon. The North Rim is closed until May, and even in April weather at the South Rim can be bad.

I am in Tucson since 1 year and haven't been around much yet. Planning on taking the drive through Flagstaff - Sedona and the Grand Canyon. All hotels are fully booked until 2 months from now so make a reservation NOW.

Tucson is nice. Kitt Peak Observatory, PIMA Air Museum (250 planes), Titan missile museum and other natural and historical museums.
If you are into mountain biking come here and bike. Beautiful desert landscape and mountains.
Hiking is good too people say. I am not a huge fan of hiking but hey....

Living here is great. Summer all year long but it can get to hot in June/July. June is worst but it is dry so you'll survive.

The weather's fine right now, and it should be for the next couple of weeks. It's supposed to be in the 60's the next couple weeks.
