Anyone find Gmail's priority tags to work?

I love Gmail but I don't think their new priority/importance tags really work. Granted I have no use for them as all my email is personal email, nothing of real importance. But for a while I tried to get it to learn what I did and did not find important/interesting. It never seemed to learn and I just gave up. It seems to just tag everything or things at random.

It doesn't do me any good. Every email that comes into my inbox is important. Everything else is spam or is filtered out by one of my filters.

Not useful at all. I don't get tons of emails and I'm always notified through my phone when I do get them, so I really don't need a tag for which non-junk emails are more important than others.

I guess one of the problems I have is I get a ton of stuff from Mail lists that I actually enjoy reading. I get NASA updates, Gamespot updates and the like that I track.

There's "want to read" and "don't want to read"

do you have a bunch of stuff that's "read if i get arround to it"?

Otherwise the priority tags are useless.

never bothered to try it, and im a long time gmail user. i really dont get much mail that i dont want to see, which means everything needs my attention. i read what i want when i want, and leave the rest unread for later *shrug*
