I realized that i dont need the fastest or best cpu and or gpu. PC is gaming is mostly dead due to antipiracy schemes and majorty of games are ported to consoles, been downgrading since i got the xbox 360 last year.

keeping dual core E5200 as main rig since iCore is cost prohibitive and just built a AMD htpc.

Sorry for moving from main topic, but I just want to let you know, in here:
1 pirated DVD console games cost USD 0.70-1.50 (X360, I don't know about PS-3 pricing)
1 pirated DVD PC-games cost USD 3.75-6.00

I don't know how it done, might be the machines needs to be hack, but don't you hate this if you are game programmer ? 😀

Newer game like dragon age take different approach by providing Downloadable content expansion.

the 8800GT is still very good. Shadows off... LoL! it just doesn't like AA in some games. But like i said, im still paying new games maxed out at 2048x1152.

The 8800GT is hands down the best piece of hardware i have ever bought.

Yes, I still max everything out on the 8800GTS with little problems at all (Crysis is an outlier). New graphic card upgrades in this day should be concomitant with new monitor upgrades.
