I'm looking for a fan controller and this is the closest I've found to the specs I want.

I want temp sensors and fan controls, and I like this one because if the temps get too high it'll crank the fans up to max. I'd rather not have card reader, usb, etc. because I'm not going to use it. And I don't want any fancy LED lights or anything - even this one's a bit ricey looking for me, I'm hoping the display isn't too bright. It seems most use these Zalmans and such that don't monitor temps.

If you don't like this, can you recommend one that you do? Thanks.
 
This is all going on an old slot 1 motherboard I have yet to acquire - I wasn't sure if it would have the necessary probes and whatnot built in.
 
Well one question about Speedfan - I'm considering going ahead and buying an ECS 760GX-M motherboard - how am I to know if it's got all the correct sensors and such to support speedfan to its full potential (changing fan speed based on temperature)?

Is it safe to say most modern boards will support this?
 
That CM Aerogate III is an amazing buy, but remember, CM's manuals/user guides pretty much suck across the board. And I believe CM uses PWM fan control chips which can cause some (particularly sleeve but also some ball bearing) fans to buzz, while Sunbeam has used linear circuits on their Rheobus, but I'm unfamiliar with the circuitry in their newer models.
