Anyone familiar with the Canon Optura camcorder?

I'm in the market for a camcorder but it has to be small since I already have a hefty digital Hi-8 camcorder I want to replace.

I see all these tourists in NYC carrying around tiny camcorders but the closest I could find to something like they carry is the Canon Optura.

Do you have any other suggestions for small camcorders other than ones by Sony? No Sonys please.
