My company is looking for a recommendation on a Rapid Prototyping firm.

Preferrably, one with experience in building HIDs (mice, game controllers, keyboards).

We're in Sunnyvale (Bay Area), CA, but anyone good around the US is fine.

Just a FYI for those unfamiliar with the term:
The process of quickly generating prototypes or mockups of what a product system will look like. Rapid prototyping may be done with paper prototypes such as sketches, low-fidelity physical prototypes, CAD visualization, rapid application development, or video prototyping. These prototypes are frequently used to test quickly the product product?s technical feasibility or consumer interest.

Had a class in this @ Cal State, Long Beach
Very cool stuff - almost considered trying to start a job-shop like company to do it. Can't help you with the reccomendation, but here's a bump for ya.

What kind of recommendation are you requesting?

I used RP in my User Interface class. It was simply sketches and quick mock-ups in MS Paint. The point of it was to be fast and easy to change.

Don't know how well it fits your applicatoin but I've used Quickparts.com. If you have 3D models you can upload them directly and get a quote in minutes. Also their sales reps seemed helpful. I never actually got parts from them just quotes--we decided not to get a rapid prototype of the part.
