Has anyone owned both the Monitor line and their "upgrades", the TSI? Is it worth the price difference? Specifically looking at monitor 40's vs. TSI200
 
I haven't owned both but I do own the older RTi model and the difference between those and the monitors was that the RTi line used Vifa drivers. I can't say I have compared the two so I can't attest to the sound quality difference.
 
I think the TSI's are supposed to be replacements for the monitor series. The TSi's have slightly better low end response and their finishes are nicer. But it's not going to be much of a sound difference from the monitors. If the monitors are half the price go with them. If it's only $20 a pair difference then go with the TSi's.

As far as the Polk products it goes R series(R50, R300), then Monitor/TSi, then RTi, then LSi.
 
Thanks for the info. Monitor series is more than 1/2 off tsi that I can find ($129.99 at newegg for monitor 40's, cheapest I can find tsi200's is $250.00 open box.)
