I setup a RAC cluster a while back on a pair of Itanics, I think it was on RHEL 2.1 and Oracle 9-something. Man that brings back bad memories...

tell me about it.. I'm having issues with OCFS allowing multiple disks to be mounted across the cluster.

well I figured it out not that it would appear to help anyone around here...

turns out it was a bug in the 2.4 kernel w/ RHEL3 and powerpath.. only the first 16 devices would be uniquely named and the rest would get duplicate names hence the confusion. only way around it is to either upgrade the kernel/power path or apply this dirty hack to rebuild the fstab.order to get your new devices to be above the rest of the chain. what a ***** bug

ps: OCFS is a joke

Ah, when I set it up way back when we only had a single path since planning things out from the beginning is way overrated.
