Anyone familiar with Mercedes CLK55 AMG convertible?

These have been catching my interest lately and wanted to know if anyone has driven/rode in one before. I would be looking at a 2001-2003 car with 50k miles or less. Before I really start searching for one and test driving, I wanted to know if anyone knows about the reliability or quality of this vehicle. I've heard of Mercedes having excellent reliability and quality, but also read that this reputation slipped at one point in the early '90s. Does anyone know if said issues have been corrected? Any information would be appreciated.
