Anyone familiar with losing wireless connection on a HP DV6500

I just got a laptop to troubleshoot that was reported losing wireless connectivity regularly. I could not test it as is as the hard drive was also bad (the main reason they brought it to me).

I see online others have suffered with this and I see no work around.

I am still installing updates and during one batch (adobe reader and flash) it came up that the connection was lost.

Hopefully once all the updates are installed I don't have issues...but if someone knows the fix off the bat I'd appreciate it.
