Anyone familiar with cambridge soundworks?

My old 2.1 set died, the little cube looking speakers. I got amazing crystal clear quality of these speakers and when I got my audigy, everyone steered me in the direction of logitech for its great bass. I picked up the z-5300e series and I am totally unimpressed after hearing cambridge soundworks. I'm selling these and getting a set!

I'm not familiar with thier product line, as to what is made by creative and what is made by cambridge soundworks- and what is the difference between thier gigaworks series and thier megaworks series?

Get a set of Klipsch in 2.1/5.1/whatever you like.

I would go listen to some, I would bet you would love the Klipsch if you liked the Cambridge.

I'm not particularly impressed with either company in the pro-audio field. Boston Acoustics has a better rep, their "V-" series but they are overpriced for what they give you.

The difference is, Logitech is consistent with its quality, Altec Lansing is not. One year they'll release something amazing (aka 621s/641s) then the next year they will release a bunch of a weird "decor" products that are sonically challegend...and the cycle continues. But they do have some fantastic products mixed in the crap...Logitech on the other hand doesn't even try to reach for the sky.

Creative's speakers are (mostly) rebadged Cambridge Soundworks, if you want basically the same ones for lower cost. Actually, I just looked at the Cambridge Soundworks website, and it seems like they have 'officially' been bought out by Creative.

They're nice speakers, but you will overpay horribly for them if you buy them directly from Cambridge Soundworks. For instance, the Creative Megaworks 550 is significantly cheaper than the Cambridge Soundworks Megaworks 505.
