I have some interviews coming up for a position and I want to make sure I do good in it. For you guys who did well in these types of interviews, what type of suggestions do you have?

Right now, I'm just looking over all the 'competencies' that the company wants and I'll just try to think of lots of examples, so when/if they ask, I can pick and explain.

I think the problem comes when they ask for negative examples, or if they ask questions that you have no experience in.

i.e, give me an example of what you regret, give me an example of when you missed a deadline, etc etc.

any suggestions on how to tackle these types of 'negative' questions?

besides dealing with the questions, any other suggestions would greatly help

thanks

I hate negative questions. I hate interviewing as it is.

I don't dwell on any missed deadlines or mistakes or anything, so when asked about them, I have a hard time coming up with any examples.

That's all most employers ask now days (at least in engineering). I had about 15 engineering job interviews during college and never had a single technical question asked - it was all behavioral questions.
