Anyone familar with boston? Looking for a hotel area in suburbs.

I'm trying to book a hotel for a college graduation inside boston but it seems everything is booked. Does anybody have an recommendations for anything outside of boston? Im looking at bedford b/c its not to far from the alewife station. Is that my best bet? thanks guys.

Holiday Inn Worcester. There's a T stop in Worcester, takes about an hour to get to the main station (Union Station? I can't remember).
