Anyone experiencing slow shutdown/restart on Windows 7?

As much as I hate Windows 8, one thing I love about it is how fast it reboots!

With Windows 7, when I first install it and install all my drivers / apps, it is fine, after a while, it becomes horribly slow to reboot to the point where sometimes I must do a forced shut down via the Power Button

Now on Windows 8 with the exact same software / drivers it never does this

anyone experiencing this?

The only time my W7 machine hangs up on a shutdown is if there is something stuck running in the background... and then only for a few seconds.

Could be anything from software to drivers etc..I've seen this happen on my brothers HP laptop, turned out to be some HP software,he did a clean install and it was running sweet after.

There is no reason why any OS can't restart/shut down fast.
