Tested negative for COVID, FLU, Strep.

Started off as fatigue. Then gradually starting Monday, pain in ear when opening mouth, pain at the top of the mouth when swallowing. The kicker isnth tongue is somehow super sensitive to food. It's like I ate a bunch of.chips but the only food I ate was soft. And even water irritates.

Was I just late in getting a COVID result, or some other evil virus is screwong with me?

Sounds like strep throat tbh.

This was going to be my guess also.

My wife had it last year. Go to the doctor and get Azithromycin ( Z-Pack ). Cleared her right up after a week of misery before she got the Z-Pack.

Left untreated it can cause some serious shit!

Here's a more detailed look at the dangers:

1. Rheumatic Fever:

This inflammatory condition can affect the heart, joints, brain, and skin.
It's a serious complication that can lead to long-term heart damage.
Symptoms include fever, painful and tender joints, and a specific type of rash.

2. Glomerulonephritis:
This is a kidney disease that can develop after certain strep infections, particularly those affecting the skin.
It can cause kidney inflammation and may require treatment.

3. Abscesses:

Untreated strep can cause pus-filled pockets (abscesses) to form around the tonsils or in the neck.
These abscesses can be very painful and make it difficult to breathe.

4. Ear and Sinus Infections:

Strep throat can spread and cause infections in the ears and sinuses.

5. PANDAS:

PANDAS is a rare autoimmune disorder that can develop after a strep infection.
It affects the brain and can cause symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) or tic disorders.

6. Other Complications:

Strep throat can also lead to mastoiditis (infection of the bone behind the ear), cellulitis (skin infection), and even toxic shock syndrome.
Invasive group A streptococcal disease (iGAS) can lead to severe infections like pneumonia, meningitis, or necrotizing fasciitis (flesh-eating infection).

I feel like giving Torn Mind all the worst possible outcomes was probably not a great idea!

It is something that's worth getting looked at by an actual doctor though!

The more you know... I did some research when my wife was sick for a week and refusing to go to a doctor. Scared her enough to get her moving. After the Z-Pack she was up and about after 24 hours.

We are really blasé about bacterial infections since the discovery of antibiotics. They are really, really nasty things if you don't treat them!

Sorry for laughing. It just sounded like you punching your testicles was a regular event!

Your glands are swollen, that's why your balls ache.
