I had minor water damage (black blotches on the display) a few days ago which got rid by itself on its own. I guess the stuff simply evaporated.
Now I got more water damage and this time larger black blotches but they don't seem to disappear now in 24hrs.
I opened the display, it's a Samsung LED S24Bxxx....and actually opened the panel itself (Christ are these things made with few parts, unbelievable) and was able to remove the LED part from the panel and separate from the white background/reflective part. The "LED part" of the panel however, the part where the water seems to have sept inside a microscopic gap, by itself already is very thin...like 1mm.
I didn't look to me I can actually separate the "LED part", means the clear, outer optical part of the panel and the LEDs itself..is this even possible or advi Respective I have reason to believe that doing so wouldn't be "advisable" at all, even if it would be possible. Just wondering what experiences people have. I will likely get a new monitor anyway...so this question is just out of curiosity.
