Anyone every watch that reality show "The Colony"?

Saw it had some good ratings, might check it out on Netflix. Any opinions on it?

Good premise, bad execution. If you like seeing people make things out of scrap, it's enjoyable. It's heavily scripted, though, and it's very obvious there is no real danger. Not sure I would call it a "reality" show.

Season 1 was pretty good. Season 2 seemed less about engineering and more about the cheesy story. The finales of both seasons were particularly cringeworthy.

I'd still recommend them - I'll watch season 3.

1st season was pretty awesome imo. They had lots of resources, but it was quite amazing to see the level of ingenuity at work in taking advantage of them.

2nd season they introduce abductions and sh!t and don't have the same caliber of expertise as the first season. I've only seen a couple episodes of the 2nd so far, but it definitely tries to stir the pot of basic survival emotions a bit more.

Agree with the previous two posters.
Season 1 was really about survival and the situation at hand.
Season 2 seemed like a script from the next SyFy channel.

I could a few eps in Season 1 on NetFlix. It was interesting, but not enough to keep me watching. Reality TV isn't very entertaining.

As everyone has said Season 1 was IMO much better than Season 2.

Season 2 was all about introducing fake drama BUT the one thing I DID like seeing in season 2 had to do with making alcohol.

Doesn't seem like a season 3 is happening. I searched into it a while back and saw nothing in the works. Could be wrong...

The bandit fights they have are kinda pointless other then for more drama.

If they got to be more physical then it would be a much more enjoyable show

+1 on Season 1 was alot better than season 2.

Wish they would bring it back.
