I had a problem with one of my server machines so i copied all the mp3s to a backup folder on my workstation. I rebuilt the server and when i tried to move the files back to the server across a gigabit network it wasn't working. I would select all the files and then copy/paste in windows explorer and wouldn't do anything. The 1st time i would do the copy function it would take a little time (which i expected) but then when i pasted nothing. When i would look at processes in task manager explorer.exe would take up 1.8GB of memory . I thought i just needed to reboot the 1st time this happened but nope it happened the 2nd time i tried it too. Of course cut/pasting a small amount of files poses no problems. I do have a LARGE amount of files though. Almost 30Gb of mp3 files. Of course i found away around it...i'm just using xcopy but just curious if this is a known issue.
