Has anyone here worked at Fry's electronics before? They are about to open a new store here in Austin, Texas. If they are a good employer, I might try to get a part time job there for durring the school year.
Yes I worked there.
They have horrible horrible management. I would suggest against working there as employees aren't treated very well. (Atleast it was that way when i worked there five years ago)
They have an unbelievable turnover ratio because of the poor management as well.
ok, well nevermind. I just figured that it would be real easy to get a job there since they are trying to hire 300 people. I would be beter off without a job anyways, I make some money here and there fixing comptuers.
I worked there. Its great if you are hired straight into sales in the computer department and if you are a good salesman. I made $40,000.00 my first year. After that, they kept bugging me to move up in the coming so I quit.
Has anyone noticed that frys employs a high number of people who werent born in America? This has intrigued me, because I noticed it when I visited one in Arlington and Dallas. Same thing. I wonder if they have some sort of immigration deal for people of other countries. For instance, commit to 3 years or something like that and they help you legally immigrate to America. Does anybody really know?
i think the add said somewhere on north mopac, so it shouldn't be to far from UT.
also, I noticed that it said you have to apply in person. mabe that is so that they can make sure you are a minority/immigrant before they hire you. they certainly could not ask you that on your appication, so they just luer you to the store so they can see for themselves......(hey, you never know......)
