Anyone ever watch that Kingpin series on NBC?

My roomie bought the DVDs and I've been watching them on my long train rides to work.

Pretty good stuff! I was wondering if they had any plans on extending the series?

They were talking about possibly bringing Kingpin to NBC's fall line up but I don't think it ever happened 🙁

Great series though, liked it a lot.

The first couple of episodes were good. The last few didn't feel like the first at all. I think they realized there was alot more story to cram in to the last couple episodes and it showed. I was disappointed in the way it all ended. IIRC it will not be back next season.

go rent the sopranos season 1 dvds and you'll see how bad kingpin really was.
I highly disagree.

I'm an avid Sopranos fan and have seen every episode, but I think Kingpin was also a good series. I agree with the guy that said the final few were rushed, but fitting everything in and wrapping it up in 6 episodes isn't exactly easy. If thye had more episodes, they could have delved further into the mind and struggle of Miguel Cadena (the lead role). All three of the story's main plot really helped to diversify the flow of the episode. The Cadena family with the family/honor struggles. The doctor for some comedic relief, and the DEA stuff for the obligatory police action scenes.

all in all, i wish they would produce more. Thumbs up.

Nothing is scheduled for the fall. I liked the series and i thought it was awesome! but oh well sh!tty nbc they SUCK!
