Anyone ever used travel insurance before?

I had a flight to Japan scheduled for March and Air Canada started cancelling the flights in December. They refused to give me a refund and insisted I take a voucher even after I repeatedly asked nicely and reminded them that US law says they have to give me a refund if they cancel for any reason. One lady emailed me a sob story about "how tough" it was for the airlines and thanked me for "understanding."

I should probably email her back and thank her for her "understanding" when Chase got done with them and gave me every penny back. 😀

beast, this should be included in your flight ticket. Maybe it's worth calling the airline to ask what cancellation rights you have, there's been major changes since covid hit.

As for medical, you're probably not going to needed it, but it's a tiny cost compared to what would happen if you had a serious situation.
Again, I'm not talking about airline tickets. It's for a place I'm renting on airbnb.
