I exhausted my efforts to find someone I haven't spoken to in like 18 years. But the sites I'm finding, most of them look scamy to me. I'm good with paying, but I'm seeing $1 for a 7 day trial on a lot of them, with no further info. I'm pretty sure they're not going to let me dig thru all the results for a buck lol. I know the person's name, DOB and an address they lived at. But none of the ones I'm finding on Google let you enter a DOB or anything more than a state. Plus they got married, and maybe still are and I never knew the married name. But I know one of these stupid records sites would be able to find them using her maiden name.

Anywho, anyone have a recommendation?

Is it an old GF? You want a restraining order or something?

Better to find a common friend and ask them.

fakebook

google obituaries and their name. If they're listed in the family, might give you the state they're from.

lol not a GF, she was my best friend for years. No common friends, she went off to college and got married and that was that. Lately I've been stuck on wondering how she's doing. There's a decent chance she's tried to find me online to see how I am. But my name's John Williams, so yeah nobody's able to find me lol.

She was never into social media, but I did look on all those sites, and I did check for an obituary. Found nothing, she had a hotmail I sent her an email and it didn't come back undeliverable. But I have no idea how long Hotmail keeps an account active if you don't log on. I didn't even know Hotmail still existed.

try "class of xxxx alumni city, state"

I found them on classmates, I had looked last year but apparently I did something wrong. Or they recently signed up. Sucks that both parties have to be paying members to read emails. Worst case she never logs on and isn't a paying member anyways. Best case she'll see it and is a member and replies.

Thanks for

It might be going to her spam. Try sending from your work email if you can or get a cheap domain with a professional sounding name (quebert@acmecleaners.com) and send email from that.

I was expecting to get it back saying the account no longer exists. But maybe Hotmail doesn't delete accounts due to inactivity like Yahoo. So she still might not have logged on it for a long time. But at least I know the emails still alive so there's some hope there.

....pics....

AH yes, this is the internet so this question should always be expected. Only pic is 1 of her on classmates, and small and mostly just her head. I don't think that would do much of anything to tickle ATOTers fancies. lol

The cheap sites provide very little/nothing that you can't find on your own with some high-level "Google-Fu" and patience. *(start with last known address, old phone numbers and voter-registration info)

As mentioned however the major credit bureaus and advertising-data tracking companies are pretty much all-knowing.... they're also not cheap!

Yes, that's why I'm asking, I know the ones that charge a buck ain't gonna get me shit. But that's all I'm finding or ones that make you pay a year, they claim a "money back guarantee" but I somehow don't just trust that as true. I don't want to be cheap here, I want to find the person. I have no idea what's a step up from the cheap sites though.

When I get in tomorrow, I'll look it up but, IIRC, truepeoplesearch.com did OK when I looked up my girl friends that got married and moved.

If I knew you better I'd say give me the info you have and I could find it out with LexisNexis because we have an account there. But when we want to find someone, and we've tried multiple services, LN is the best single one. One reason we use it is to find people that own properties so we can track them down and see if they want to sell, for whatever reason. This is especially useful when you want to target an area for development. You can see who owns a property by the address on the tax records, but it doesn't give you their contact info. Often times they've never even lived there as it's purely investment. If they have lived there it gets much easier when you have a known previously used address.

You can use Spokeo to get you close. Spokeo her name state she lives in. Will list the counties that the name pops in, then sort by age either ascending or descending. Won't tell the full address but will get you close. They also have a fee for the full info.

Spokeo is one of the "cheap" sites I was referring to that just compile info available for free on Google.... their version of "full info" is usually laughable.

Alternatively you could hire a professional investigator who specializes in this sort of thing. They should be able to make short work of finding somebody for you.

So semi related, is Classmates full of bots or something? I looked up my high school, and half of who came up had a middle eastern name. I went to a continuation school with about 160 students and I don't remember a single one being middle eastern. Definitely not the 30 that are coming up on classmates for my graduation year.

I'm trying to figure out the reason people would want make fake accounts here.

And all the stupid findpeople.com type sites get an extra point for how long it takes to produce basically nothing. With the super slow, constantly moving bar with random shit popping up makes you really feel like it's doing all kinds of deep research.
